First my ankle, now my Calf

As of lately I have lost my ability to walk correctly...lol....today while our on a birding walk we were walking on some RR tracks and there was a bad RR tie and I fell. So now I have a sprained ankle and a swollen calf. But that's not slowing me down much, I'm still looking forward to doing some birding later on this afternoon.

Lazy day

Yesterday we went to the Tennessee National Wildlife Refuge and got some birding in and some nature shots. Later today I will be uploading some nature shots. We are doing well with Our Birding Big Year, so far we got 77! Hoping to get 100 this month and the month is only half over!

Today we are staying at a Motel 6 and having a nice lazy day; we maybe my hubby is I've got laundry to do and clean the truck. Fun fun! Well time to go check the laundry again have a great day!!!

New Mexico and Presque Isle State Park in PA

We stopped off at a pond in Santa Rosa, New Mexico and saw a couple ducks and a few other neat things. 

We got to stop off at Presque Isle State Park Erie, PA on Lake Erie, which is quite beautiful. Lots of nature trails that I hope we get to come back too. As for birds didn't see too much just some gulls, ducks and Mute Swans! Below are some shots from the park.

It's been a minute since I've been on here but I've had a lot going on. We have started doing a birding big year! Maybe some of you have seen the movie "The Big Year" it's actually a true story and the number the one of them got still stands~748!! Wow out of 924 birds in North America he did very well. But if you don't know what a big year is it is a person or sometimes a couple go out starting on Jan 1st through Dec 31st counting every bird species that you see according to the ABA bird checklist. So far we have 67. Not as much as other people that are doing a big year but I'm happy with our year so far. I'm also doing a photo book of all the birds we've seen and sometimes write in there about our journey. The first part of the year I fell out of the truck and landed on the side of my ankle, ouch!
But not to worry I'm still doing my nature photography! I'm planning on getting some picture up soon.
